 Take a trip through the familiar aisles of the country's grandest and longest running Christmas charity bazaar, but with all new highlights and activities around every turn! Happening from December 4 to 21, 2015 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, 10AM to 12MN Fridays to Sundays and 12NN to 10PM Mondays to Thursdays.

 This event is for the benefit of the ABS CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation. Tickets are priced at Php80.00.

On Saturday, October 10, MassKara By The Sea will be in Punta Taytay, while on Sunday, October 11, MassKara By The Sea will be at the Baywalk.

MassKara By The Sea Takes Place On 2 Days At 2 Venues

The Philippines' City of Smiles, Bacolod City, recently released the schedule for the 77th Charter Festival, also known commonly as the MassKara Festival.

The Masskara Festival through the years gives the people of Negros Island, as well as local and foreign visitors, a chance to drink and be merry for 20 days. Originally designed to show the hardships of the people of Negros, the Masskara Festival has come a long way, and is considered one of the most highlighted festivals of the Philippines.

Bacolod City's Masskara Festival takes place here Oct. 1-20. Local and foreign visitors get a chance to enjoy 20 days of merry making, beer drinking, dining and street dancing. On the weekend nearest to 19 October, the biggest party in Bacolod is scheduled to take place. Bacolod is the capital city of the country's sugar-producing province of Negros.

The saying that eating is more fun in the Philippines has been validated in a recent international poll as Filipino food took the spotlight by making it to number 2.

In a Facebook poll, CNN asked "Which destination has the world's best food?"

The Philippines made it to the second spot with 1,528 votes just behind Taiwan which received 8,242 votes.

"Blessed with an abundance of seafood, tropical fruits and creative cooks, there's more to Filipino food than the mind-boggling balut (duck embryo)," CNN wrote.

Last April, the Department of Tourism along with other agencies hosted Madrid Fusión Manila, which was viewed as an opportunity for the Philippines as a gastronomical destination in Asia.

"This is an effort of the Department of Tourism to make sure Manila, as it represents all Filipinos, retakes its place as one of the most important gastronomical capitals in this part of the world," Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr. said. 

Top food critics like Andrew Zimmern and Anthony Bourdain praised Filipino food, even saying it's going to be the next big thing.

Aside from Taiwan and Philippines, six other Asian countries made it to the list:

    Thailand
    Japan
    Malaysia
    Hong Kong
    India
    Greece
    Vietnam


"Clearly, Asian food is on people's minds these days. That or we have a lot of readers in the region who want to support their homeland's culinary prowess. With the exception of Italy and Greece, every place on our list is in Asia," CNN wrote.
