DAVAO, Philippines - The province of Negros Occidental garnered a number of awards tonight at the 10th ATOP-DOT Pearl Awards, held in conjunction with the 16th Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) Convention at the SMX Convention Center in Lanang, Davao.
Among the awards won for the province were Best Festival in
the Country for Panaad sa Negros as awarded by the Dilliman Preparatory School. Also bagged were 2nd Runner Up in the Best Tourism Event, Festival Category by Bago City; 2nd Runner Up for Best Adventure Tourism Event by Pulupandan, and 1st Runner Up by Sipalay.
The highlight award for Negros was First Place Best Tourism Event Festival Category for the "Panaad sa Negros".
